Whilst at Beltring 2000, I caught up with Derek Gardner and Andrew Noyce, both keen Ferret owners. They soon had me enrolled as a member of the Ferret Owners Club, which at the time of writing this introduction (November 2000) numbers 59 members and even more vehicles.
What I intend to do is have an archive of the back issues of the newsletter, which until now has been produced partially on Andrew's computer and partially by way of photostats of articles sent to Andrew by club members, so there has been no digital record.
Due to this, the earlier issues are recorded as JPG pictures, not as HTML text. For this reason, what you see here may not be an exact duplicate of the originals as there are parts where I have had to do extensive "manual coding" to make the newsletters HTML viewable. The content, however, is the same.
The newsletters will by no means be the complete ones as received by members, nor will you be able to view the latest issue, as were I to do that, then there would be no need for anyone to join the club and people would be able to have all the benefits, without any of the input that is so essential to any club.
So if you own a Ferret or are keen on doing so, then please contact Andrew at
it is not at all expensive (£7 per year in 2001) and it will make you part of a club based in the country of origin of the Ferret.
You don't have to live in England to be a member as international membership is encouraged.
