Allegheny Arms and Armor museum. (Ver 1)
Vince has supplied the following article:
These are from the Allegheny Arms and Armor museum in Smethport, PA.
They are at:
www.armormuseum.com
They have 6 Ferrets that I work on, and a lot of other stuff that I don't.
This is a russian BMP-1 that was captured by the US in Desert Storm. The vehicle next to it is an LVTP-7.
On the left is an M-110 self-propelled gun, 203mm, on the right is an M-42 "Duster" 40mm anti-aircraft vehicle, one of my favorites of theirs. Pennsylvania National Guardmen standing in front.
An M-55 203mm SPG. Supposedly this was one of the prototypes, but have no evidence to support that claim.
These two are the M110 crushing a Chevy Nova after it was the subject of a flamethrower demonstration.
The flamethrower pic is me burning a Dodge K-Car the year before.
This is an M-578 retrieval vehicle. It's on the same chassis as the M-110.
This is a Russian T-62 (or 72?, I'm not up on the russian stuff) that was captured from the Iraqis during Desert Storm.
From left to right, a towed artillery piece, M-110, M-42, M-55, M-578.Thanks to Vince for the article.
