Darcy in America sent me the above picture of what was once a Bren Gun/Universal Carrier.
I thought it quite a shame that he had hacked up a hard to obtain vehicle until futher
pictures arrived. As you will see in this article, he didn't have much to start with and
has gone to a lot of work to make what was basically a remnant into a fun vehicle. True,
it has not been restored, but considering the condition it was in when he found it, the
chances of someone restoring it to its former glory would be pretty remote.

I bought the bare hull from a
friend. I hand built the body and the suspension. The road wheels and tracks
are Scimitar. The motor is a three hundred hp chevy 454 with a turbo 400
automatic transmision. My love of german armour overroad my historic
responsibility, and I restored it as I saw fit. The gun is made from pipe
and weld fittings. I'll soon have some fenders and side skirts on it, but I
must get it running first. I'll update with more pictures and such as I get
more done.
