Dear Doug
I work for Vickers Defence Systems as part of the Sales team. I have been tasked to sell off a Chieftain (Stillbrew) MBT, which is
currently a 10 year old gate guard. The last one we disposed of at our Leeds site was a runner and this one could also be a runner. We will disarm the breech. There are 2 wheeled AFV's for
sale aswell.
Looking at your website you may have a fellow enthusiast who might like to make me an
offer for it. We are replacing the guard with a Challenger 2. It is fairly urgent as there will be a crane swapping them over and this
crane could be used to put the Chieftain onto a purchasers transporter. If not we could park it up for a while awaiting collection.

I attach a few photos of the two other vehicles I would like to sell off.
The 4 wheeler is a Vickers Valkyr, sold to the Kuwaitis (Iraq subsequently took posession of them on their return from the occupation) and
the Nepalese. The vehicle has an engine GM 600 Bhp, but would need a little work. It is dirty.

The Vickers Mark 11 with 105mm is quite a rare prototype designed for long range border patrols. It is not a runner although somebody could
always re-engine it.

Should you email Peter, please mention that you saw the above on this website.
Update: all sold As at the beginning of July 2002, Peter has informed me that all vehicles
in this article sold to the one collector. He states that Vickers occasionally will have
other vehicles to dispose.
