Here is a very nice "universal" British (but Australian made) "Handley" brand telescopic sight.

This model suits:
2 Pdr Tank and Anti-Tank gun
6 Pdr Tank and Anti-Tank gun
25 Pdr Field gun in the Anti-Tank role.
It may suit 17 Pdr Anti-Tank gun but I have no way of verifying that.

Features "light neutral" , "clear" and "dark neutral" settings.

The optics are in such good condition that there is no clouding, fogging or delamination. There is a hint of a brown coloured shadow around the perimeter of the view. However I have seen this in much more modern optics and it may be some sort of inherent manufacturing limitation.

The red rubber eye guard has some puckering for about 1/6th of it's diameter, but it is not perished and is still quite supple. Being that it is over 60 years old I am amazed that it is in the condition it is.
To look through the scope, you have to push your eye against the rubber guard and compress it so that all the acordian like folds collapse. This then puts your eye at the correct distance from the first optic so that what you see through the scope is in focus.
