Overview

An essential part of the safe operation of any armoured vehicle that needs a commander (as a general rule, any vehicle that has a turret or superstructure or design that restricts the drivers vision) is that at a minimum he and the driver should be able to converse by intercom.
The following articles are intended to be a "primer" as to what is commonally available as mil-surplus and are in no way comprehensive. Be aware that there is any number of aviation and motor bike systems on the civilian market ranging from "toy" quality through to very expensive helicopter rated (high noise environment).

Noise cancelling microphones and sound deadening properties of any headphone should be taken into account.

I suggest you read all the articles so that you get a better understanding of what you may require, not those that are applicable to the nationality of your vehicle.

Intercommunication set AN/VIC-2 - US Marine Corp, supposed to be compatible with AN/VIC-1 but with detail differences, I need pictures for an article?

Intercommunication set AN/VIC-3 - Latest issue, supposed to be wholey incompatible with AN/VIC-1 and 2 despite Helmets etc having similar appearance. This system is digital and thus the incompatibility.
